This Centre for Human Rights massive open online course (MOOC) provides a basic understanding of the functioning of the African regional human rights system and its relevance to the realisation of human rights in Africa.The Introduction to the African human rights system provides participants with a solid introduction to the regional protection of human rights within the institutional framework of the African Union and its monitoring system. Different themes relating to implementation,refugees, women, LGBTI and access to information are further explored.
