South Africa’s main budget documents are tabled annually in Parliament by the Minister of Finance. The 2018 appropriation Bill sets out the amounts to be appropriated from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of 2018/19. The budget is presented by national government vote1, programme and main
economic classification2. Some budget items are also subject to specific conditions and may be used only for the purposes indicated.
