Sectors: A! Active Citizenship

Students will be introduced to the concept of global citizenship first by relating it to ideas about
citizenship in the United States. They will then explore how the notion of global citizenship has
been shaped by the United Nations and a modern world that is interconnected on multiple levels.
Finally, they will construct a definition of the term “global citizenship” by identifying distinct
characteristics of a global citizen.
