Siphelele Chirwa
CEO
Siphelele has been working in the youth development sector for the last 17 years, with different NGOs Across South Africa and internationally and also designs and facilitates experiential programmes in leadership, life skills and rites of passage for young people and adults from all backgrounds.
Siphelele has always had an interest in human rights and being an activist at the grassroots level. Her passion started in high school as an Environmental activist and working with Youth Issues that are not separate from the broader human rights social ills. She went on to work through Educo Africa as one of the few female black wilderness guides. Guiding Youth in the different mountain ranges in the Western Cape.
She has a Diploma in Project Management, TSiBA Education leading Sustainability organization NQF level 4, NQF level 5 in Community Development, and is a board member of the Learning Trust South Africa.

Trinity Netshokotshoko
Executive Assistant
Trinity is passionate about youth setting goals and striving to achieve them daily. She believes this will bring about change to our communities with young leaders full of integrity and who cannot be shaken.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Office Management and Technology obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2016 and a higher certificate in Business Administration obtained with distinction from Richfield Institute, in 2012.
She has six years of working experience in administration which began in 2015 at CPUT where she was working as an administrator. She then continued to work at Educo Africa as a Project Coordinator where she was coordinating a National Skills Fund (NSF) internship placement programme which had over 150 South African youths and opened over 100 permanent employment opportunities for those who participated.
Trinity has also worked as a fundraising Administrator at Educo Africa holding all the administration for the funders accordingly.
She serves as a General Secretary of the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the Western Cape Province in the Students’ Christian Organisation (SCO). She has served as a Students Affairs and a Chairperson when she was a student in 2015 – 2016 at CPUT District 6 branch.
A foodie of note, she enjoys exploring with her palate and supplements this with a good workout at the gym and dancing in her spare time, she also enjoys a heartfelt conversation and always insists on bringing laughter to any environment she is in.

Patrick has worked in the youth development space for the past 11 years. Anita Mlanjana is a Bookkeeper with 12 years of experience in different sectors.
In the Telecommunication industry, she was recruited as a Accounts Payable Administrator to prepare processes, maintain the accounts payable records, and support the company’s operational needs by interfacing with key external partners. Then as a Sales Order and Contracts Administrator overseeing the sales order lifecycle, whilst preparing and verifying the accuracy of contracts.
Direct all financial administration and reporting, asset management and procurement processes throughout the organisation, whilst communicating business value and financial recommendations to support short- and long-term business decisions.
A certified Advance Bookkeeper and currently in pursuit of a BCOM in Management.
She is passionate about teaching and spending time with young children. Hobbies are baking and Hiking (being surrounded by nature).
Her superpower is Calmness and a killer smile.

Zamayirha is an accomplished professional with over 8 years of experience in multimedia journalism and communications.
Her long-standing experience began in traditional media at the age of 16, highlights of her career include interviews with Media Mogul Tyler Perry, Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke, Artivists, Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbulu, as well as the coverage of the Oprah Winfrey Nelson Mandela Centenary celebration address.
She is published in several publications including Huffington Post, City Press, News 24, Malawi National paper, Zambia Digital News, BONA Magazine, Rapport and has been a news contributor for Power FM, Vow FM, and SABC 2 debating show battle of the VS, as well Too Far Gone a Nab’Ubomi award-winning short film aired on SABC 2.
Responding to shifting industry needs she transitioned into communications and digital marketing and gained regional experience working as a Digital Communications Officer in six countries namely Angola, Malawi, Botswana, Eswatini, Zambia, Lesotho and South Africa.
She has a Bachelor’s degree and an Honours Degree in Media and Journalism from the University of the Witwatersrand and a corporate communications certificate.
She serves as a board member for the African Youth Development Fund, Youth for Women Foundation, and is the founder and director of Social enterprise, Ideas That walk.
Her passion is using development communications to contribute to the development and empowerment of communities particularly the youth, across the continent.
Her superpowers are found in the kitchen, great admirer of British chef, Marco Pierre White, she believes she could give Gordan Ramsey a run for his money, she enjoys watching cooking shows, reading books and spending time in nature.

He has a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology, an MPhil in Monitoring and Evaluation, both from the University of Stellenbosch, an MSc in Sociology and Social Anthropology, and a BSc Honours degree in Sociology (University of Zimbabwe).
Additionally, Charles has a Certificate in Conducting Outcomes-based Assessment, a Certificate in Moderation of Outcomes-based Assessments (Education, Training & Development Practices, Sector Education & Training Authority (ETDP-SETA), a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Promotion (University of Pennsylvania) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Population and Health (Brown University).

Rammolotsi is an experienced and credible project coordinator and facilitator with over 8 years of experience in community and youth development. He has previously worked as a project coordinator for the National Youth Resilience Initiative, community facilitator for Health Systems Trust’s “Better off Knowing” Campaign as well as a camp facilitator at the National Youth Camp which is an initiative of the Department of Sports and Recreation.
His experience at ACTIVATE! Change Drivers is multifaceted having served in various capacities including as an event coordinator, a project coordinator as well as a monitoring and evaluation support officer.
He is an International Relations and Philosophy graduate from the University of the Free State with extensive experience in project coordination, facilitation, programme development, monitoring and evaluation and youth development.
He is passionate about creating enabling platforms for young people and communities, in general, to actively and meaningfully contribute towards influencing social change.
Rammolotsi or Kgotso as he is commonly known is an avid reader and a jazz enthusiast.

Thamsanqa is passionate about creating enabling environments for achieving socio-political change within communities and has 10 years of experience in the youth development space and holds extensive experience as an education and training practitioner with knowledge in education, training, facilitation and development.
Over the last five years, he has cemented himself in the Local Government Affairs and Public Policy sector having featured panels and interviews focusing on Local Government, running workshops on Making Local Government Work and creating platforms for young people to participate in the policy-making process.
Recently he coordinated the participation of 200 young people as Election Observer in the 2021 Local Government Elections.
He has a diploma in Management of Training (Human Resource Development), Facilitator and Assessor accreditation and a Human Resource Management short Learning course.
A 2013 Activator, he describes his mission as being to “connect, equip and influence change drivers towards creating a future worthy of our longing”.
Thamsanqa loves cycling and Kaizer Chiefs, if he is not on his bike he can be found on socials trolling the other “football club” from Orlando. Love and Peace!

Other projects they are involved in are Civic Education programme as well as Climate Ambition on Accountability Youth Champions programme with various Stakeholders e.g. WWF, Youngo, Nkokheli believes in the power of collaboration in all levels of society and youth are an integral part of solving many of the issues currently faced by South Africa. Furthermore, they have experience in HIV Prevention and Awareness, Sexual Reproductive health rights, Human Rights and LGBTI Rights.

Coordinator
Nathacia Olivier has nine experience in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, business & marketing management. She describes herself as a humanitarian that works a lot in youth development.
She is a creative and teachable person that is hardworking. She possesses internationally recognised qualifications in Marketing and Business Management. She interned for one of South Africa’s well-known and recognised direct marketing company known as – IDMASA in 2011.
Throughout her journey in social entrepreneurship, she served as the Deputy Chairperson for the Global Business Roundtable within the Future Leaders division from 2011 – 2013. She also served in the Gauteng Youth Chamber of Commerce & Industries from 2012 – 2014. A couple of milestones are being featured in various television youth talk shows on SABC 1 like 100% Youth, TOMZ & iTelliLab TV, and being invited to speak on various local & community-based radio stations. She also graduated from the SEED Academy British Council Arts programme in November 2019
Winning the SAB KickStart Ignite Competition in 2015 plus the 2016 GATE/GAP INNOVATION HUB competition coming 1st place. Being selected as one of the top 20 finalists within the Biosciences sector to attend the FEMBIZBIO programme by NEPAD in 2017 and travelling to Germany in 2018 for the Peace or War Youth Festival.
She is very passionate about young people and entrepreneurship in 2013 she joined the Activate – Change Drivers programme to bring social change within her community. She currently works for the organisation as the sector coordinator of the Youth Economic Participation Sector & also provincial coordinator for the Gauteng & Limpopo provinces.
Nathacia Olivier

Nathacia Olivier has nine experience in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, business & marketing management. She describes herself as a humanitarian that works a lot in youth development.
She is a creative and teachable person that is hardworking. She possesses internationally recognised qualifications in Marketing and Business Management. She interned for one of South Africa’s well-known and recognised direct marketing company known as – IDMASA in 2011.

Patrick Mcobothi

Patrick Mcobothi has been part of the community and youth development space for more than 12 years and describes the space as needing more hands and feet to make a major impact in changing people’s lives.
His work experience includes working with World Changers Academy, focusing on Leadership development training and as well as Business Administration training with FLI HI Training.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Regent Business School, and he is currently pursuing an Honours degree in Supply Chain Management with the same institution.
He is passionate about Youth development and seeing young people doing things for themselves.
When not working he enjoys playing and coaching Basketball in his community, reading books and going to watch a great movie.

Skilled in storytelling, project management, community development and simply making the world a better place to mention a few. Highlights of his career include receiving the opportunity to work with renowned media industry icons such as Nonkuleko Ndlovu, Sonia Mbele and Robbyn Burger and working with both local and international networks such as ITV and Sky Network.
Approaching every problem with his flair for creativity has led him to lead and steer large-scale governmental educational programs and is a proud activist and advocate for mental health and a fitness enthusiast who is using fitness as an avenue to raise awareness of mental health in the efforts to destigmatize mental health awareness.
