August is a month meant to celebrate women in South Africa, but it is also a month burdened with realities that make South Africa, Africa and the world an uncomfortable place for women to live in, in many parts insufferable.
It is also a month to call and advocate for representation and as ACTIVATE! we will use this month to share the good story ACTIVATE! Is doing where women are concerned whilst also calling for greater change.
Did you that we are a consortium partner to a global programme called Generation G. The programme is implemented in seven (7) Countries namely; Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
The partnership strives toward creating gender-just and violence-free communities for young people in their full diversity. Youth from 15 -32 is the heart of this partnership as they are often excluded from meaningful decision-making spaces.
The Generation G South African Coalition comprises three partner organizations namely; ACTIVATE! Change Drivers, Sonke Gender Justice and ActionAid South Africa are responsible for advancing the objective of the Generation G programme in South Africa.
