10 point criteria
You are 18 years or older by 1 July 2022.
You are able to submit a 1-page application in English to us by email before the deadline.
You work with organisations, networks, movements or change-seeking communities at the local or national level. (Both formally constituted and informal organisations and groups are eligible).
You belong to the same community whose issues you are trying to address. (For example, if you work to increase youth participation in civil society, you must be a young person, or your organisation/group must be youth-led.)
You have worked to build people power in your community for at least 2-years.
For individual applicants: you belong to an organisation, network, movement or change-seeking community.
You are a South African citizen and or resident.
Your work initiative relates directly to one of the following 10 topics:
Creating positive narratives of proactive initiatives led by young people.
Resourcing youth-led groups and movements.
Building and sustaining social justice movements.
Enhancing diversity and inclusion through diverse inclusive, civic interventions.
Sustaining people’s power through self- and community care.
Provoke public debate with new ideas, approaches, dialogues and opportunities.
Influence the South African society at a personal, inter-personal and or national level.
Involved in work that drives public innovation and connection to thought leaders, and to socio-economic opportunities through the creation of shared spaces for meaningful engagement and collaboration.
Your work inspires the South African public through stories of impact, innovation and socio-economic opportunities.
Your work includes civic collaboration.
You are currently implementing the proposed initiative and have read the POPI Act consent to us profiling your work.
You follow us on at least one social media platform.
