Thabo is 2017 ANC Ward Councillor and a member of the Corporate Governance and Technical Support Portfolio Committee.
Thabo is also a member of the Municipal Public Account Committee.
A member of Finance Committee, Salga Digital Solution Working group member.
A Founder of Thabo Sothoane Foundation and a regional Executive Committee member of the South African National Civic Organization.
